So, you really want to know something about me?

I began life at a very young age...

At the tender age of nine, my dad helped me get a camera, and even built me a darkroom. I was on my way.

Fast forward to the present...

I'm a graphic artist, designer, and photographer, who has made a career out of teaching others the secrets to success in a rapidly-changing digital world.

My method of teaching involves utilizing both sides of your brain (left/right). It's important to understand how an application works; however, you do not become creative by just knowing how something works. In order to become successful, you need the creative side, or the why factor. For example, anyone that uses Photoshop can apply a drop shadow to an object; you just click a button, and there's your drop shadow. However, to be successful, you need to know why you're using that drop shadow. The why is the creative side of the equation. It goes something like this:

left (logic) + right (creative) = success

I am fluent in Adobe and Apple applications, and to that end have written over 17 books on the subjects of graphic and Web design. In addition, I do creative design seminars that will get your graphic department efficient, fired up and ready to go.

If you're interested in good down-to-earth training that encompasses both the left and right sides of the brain, then this is the site for you. As a matter of fact, if you would like me to come out to your site and conduct a customized training session, click the Onsite Training link.
